1940s Weekend 2025

ITINERARY

FRIDAY
Afternoon departure northbound to Yorkshire and the Holiday Inn Hotel where we arrive in time for your included Dinner. A relaxing evening in preparation for our Yorkshire adventure.

SATURDAY
English Breakfast and then our departure to Keighley. Here we join the Worth Valley Railway for a round Steam Train journey. The 1940s weekend this year is centred on the Railway and its stations.

We make a stop at Haworth to take advantage of the sight and sounds of this nostalgic period as we transport you back in time. The train will also visit Oxenhope with its fine collection of memorabilia in the railway museum before our return journey to Keighley. On board there will be a buffet car selling real Ale drinks and snacks.

From Keighley - we will return to Haworth or continue to the Yorkshire village of Skipton. Late afternoon our coach will depart back to the Holiday Inn where dinner is again included.

SUNDAY
A traditional cooked Breakfast before our departure to Halifax - the setting for many TV series such as Happy Valley. We will make a stop at the historic Piece Hall, now a popular venue for events with a super selection of shops, restaurants and bars. Early afternoon we start our return journey to the West Midlands.
