Agatha Christie - Devon Weekend 2026

ITINERARY

FRIDAY
Begin your Agatha Christie adventure with a morning departure as we travel south to the beautiful county of Devon.

Our first stop is the charming seaside town of Sidmouth, with time to explore and stroll along the elegant promenade.

We then continue to Paignton, part of the English Riviera and check into the new Mercure hotel for your 2-night stay.

Enjoy Dinner in the hotel restaurant this evening.

SATURDAY
Start your day with a traditional Devon Breakfast before setting off on a fascinating Agatha Christie themed tour with our expert local guide.

Our journey begins with a stop at Paignton harbourside. Take a short walk from Agatha's bench to the pier - a perfect photo opportunity.

Rejoin the coach for a tour of Torquay including stops at; the Grand hotel and train station (where Agata's story began), key locations that inspired her writing and the hospital where she worked during the first world war.

Later we visit the famous Kents Cavern, one of Torquay's most historical sites for a tour, finishing with a traditional Devon cream tea.

We return to the hotel for a delicious themed Agatha Christie Dinner.

SUNDAY
A hearty English Breakfast before we travel to the glorious resort of Brixham, a favourite of Agatha's and one of Devon's most picturesque harbours.

Enjoy some free time to explore the waterfront, browse the local shops or simply take in the coastal views before beginning your early afternoon return journey to the West Midlands.
