ITINERARY
23 DECEMBER
Lunchtime departure to the Mercure Dunkenhalgh Hotel and Spa near Blackburn in Lancashire.
Here we arrive at this once Manor House where you can unpack in your comfortable bedroom.
Dinner is included this evening.
CHRISTMAS EVE
Breakfast at leisure and then we depart to the world-famous city of Liverpool.
Here you can see the many sights and attractions and perhaps even start to see the high street sales.
We return to the hotel for Dinner and light entertainment.
CHRISTMAS DAY
The big day is here to include an English Breakfast, a traditional Christmas Lunch with all the trimmings, a relaxing afternoon taking in the Kings Speech and tonight a Yuletide Buffet.
BOXING DAY
Breakfast is served Buffet style before our departure to Yorkshire and the historic village of Haworth - home of the Bronte family.
Here we join a nostalgic train ride for the short journey to Keighley.
From here, we travel to the Dales town of Skipton - famous for its castle and attractive high street.
We return to the Mercure hotel where tonight Dinner is normally followed by light entertainment.
27 DECEMBER
A Lancashire cooked Breakfast before we depart back to the West Midlands.
MERCURE DUNKENHALGH HOTEL & SPA
An unusual hotel spreading from the original house to Courtyards. All 175 bedrooms are well appointed and have full private facilities. There is a lounge bar, a leisure centre and 24-hour reception. Most bedrooms are located on ground or first floor and not accessible by lift. Some bedrooms are Courtyard rooms with external access. A historic hotel with real character situated near Blackburn.
