D Day Darlings & BBC Big Band Show 2026

ITINERARY

SUNDAY
Morning departure - we begin our journey heading south to the vibrant maritime city of Portsmouth.

Here we meet our expert local Guide, offering an insight into Portsmouth's rich naval heritage and historic landmarks.

In the afternoon, we make our way to the stylish and comfortable Portsmouth Marriott Hotel, where you can unpack and freshen up.

We then transfer to the Portsmouth Guildhall for a special performance featuring the beloved D-Day Darlings and the sensational BBC Big Band Show.

Bringing the spirit of the Wartime era alive and normally wearing RAF uniforms, the 'Darlings' sing heartfelt harmonies that kept Britain smiling through the darkest times.

They include World War II songs such as 'We'll Meet Again' and 'I'll be Seeing You', plus the fantastic sounds of The BBC Orchestra.

After the show, we return to the Marriott for a comfortable night or perhaps a cocktail at the lounge bar.

MONDAY
A traditional English Breakfast before we depart to the important cities of both Winchester and Oxford.

At around 2:30pm we depart back to the West Midlands.
