ITINERARY
TUESDAY
Early morning departure for our channel crossing to the continent and onwards to the Lahn Valley in Germany, for our overnight in the attractive twin city of Lichfield, the Vienna House Hotel Limburg, Bed and breakfast.
WEDNESDAY
A fresh Buffet Breakfast before we depart to southern Germany and the wonderful 5-star Hotel Bayerischer Hof, situated overlooking the harbour at Lindau on Lake Constance. Here we stay for 2 nights.
THURSDAY
A free day to explore this lovely area, perhaps take a boat cruise - the short distance to Bregenz in Austria, or visit the magnificent Flower Island on Mainau. Lindau is a beautiful town with many attractions and restaurants. However, your hotel offers great facilities including indoor and outdoor swimming pools, sun terrace and gardens.
FRIDAY
A gourmet Breakfast and then we drive to the Swiss border and travel the spectacular journey to our destination hotel - the Grand Hotel Dino at Baveno - Lake Maggiore. Here we stay for five nights with Dinner and Breakfast included each day.
SATURDAY - TUESDAY
There is no reason to leave the grounds of this elegant hotel with brilliant facilities and a fantastic setting overlooking Lake Maggiore.
To discover more of this stunning region, we include an excursion to the tranquil and historic area of Lake Orta and then back along Lake Maggiore to the lively town of Stresa.
We include a fabulous 3 Island excursion by motor launch to the islands of Madre, Pescatori and Bella with admission to the palaces and gardens.
There will also be an opportunity to visit Lake Como and of course discover Baveno and the surrounding lake attractions.
WEDNESDAY
Our final Breakfast at the Hotel Dino. We then depart for our rewarding journey to France and the Novotel Hotel Reims. Here we include Dinner and a relaxing evening.
THURSDAY
A full Buffet Breakfast. We travel back to Calais for our return crossing and onwards back to the West Midlands.
GRAND HOTEL DINO
The beautiful and elegant Grand Hotel Dino is certainly one of the most impressive hotels we use in Europe. Overlooking the lake, all 370 bedrooms have full private facilities, TV and telephone and several passenger lifts serve all floors. There are restaurants, bars, outside terrace, sun bathing area, swimming pools and leisure facilities.
