ITINERARY

FRIDAY
Early morning departure for our crossing to France and onwards to our overnight hotel in Holland - Dinner included.

SATURDAY
Breakfast before our journey into Germany and then Denmark, to our hotel in Kolding with Dinner.

SUNDAY
After Breakfast, we travel northwards to Hirtshals where we join the fast-craft ferry for the exciting crossing to Norway. Dramatic scenery as we travel to Lake Nisser to the Straand Hotel at Vradal for a 3-night stay.

MONDAY
Breakfast and a relaxing day to enjoy the hotel facilities including its indoor swimming pool and gardens that sweep down to the lake and beach. We then include a 2-hour cruise on the lake in the Veteran 1909 Boat MS Fram, with a scenic cruise between the small islands. Dinner and a showing of 'The Heroes of Telemark' in the hotel.

TUESDAY
Today we include a full excursion featuring the magnificent Hardangervidda Plateau - home to Europe's largest stock of reindeer. This is the largest national park in Norway. We also visit the heavy water sabotage site at Vemork and the museum that shows the mission to halt German efforts to build a nuclear bomb. We will also call at Norways largest stave church at Heddal (Time Permitting).

WEDNESDAY
This morning we leave the Telemark region. We travel to Brunkenberg and then the mountain road to the Sorfjord. A short stop at Odda before we continue along the western shore of Hardangerfjord to cross by ferry to Kvanndal. We then pass Voss as we travel to our Stalheim Hotel where we stay for another 3 nights.

THURSDAY
Our spectacular tour today takes us around Sognefjort including 2 short ferry crossings and includes a visit to the Norwegian Glacier Museum and a visit to the Borgund stave church - One of the most impressive in the country. We will also travel through the longest road tunnel in the world before stopping at the pretty port of Flam. We then return to our hotel.

FRIDAY
We include one of the highlights today as we present 'Norway in a Nutshell'. We transfer to the port of Gudvangen to board a Fjord cruise to Flam. Here we join a fantastic return railway journey to Myrdal with magical views and waterfalls. Time permitting, we will also visit a Folk Museum.

SATURDAY
Departing Stalheim, we make our way through stunning scenery via Noresund and Kroderen to Southern Norway and the town of Horten or Skien. Here we have a comfortable overnight stay including Dinner.

SUNDAY
An early start as we travel to Larvik for our 8am crossing to Denmark. We then travel through Denmark into Germany to arrive at our welcoming hotel - Dinner included.

MONDAY
After a leisurely Breakfast, we rejoin our coach for our return to the Netherlands. We join our overnight ferry including low berth outside cabins from the Hook of Holland back to the UK at Harwich. *

TUESDAY
An early arrival. We then depart Harwich and travel back to the West Midlands.
