ITINERARY
MONDAY
Early morning departure for our channel crossing and onwards to Germany, we arrive at our hotel in Limburg. (Bed and breakfast basis) You are free to dine out at one of the many international restaurants.
TUESDAY
Buffet Breakfast and then travelling through outstanding scenery we arrive at our hotel in Austria - the Alphotel Innsbruck - Dinner included.
WEDNESDAY
Today we take the Europa Bridge on our way into Italy. The weather normally gets warmer as we travel southwards to our resort - Montecatini Terme and the Grand Hotel Tettuccio. Here we stay for 5 nights with Dinner and Breakfast included each day. Montecatini is a historic, very Italian spa town set in the heart of Tuscany.
THURSDAY - SUNDAY
Enjoy Italy's leading spa resort and join our included excursion to the world-famous capital of Tuscany - Florence. This excursion can be operated by train or coach.
We also include a fantastic day out to Cinque Terre - a World Heritage Site and one of the most beautiful parts of Italy. We take you to La Spezia to join our boat trip to Portovenere - The pearl of coastal villages on the Ligurian Coast.
We also include a excursion to the iconic sight of the leaning Tower of Pisa. Pisa is one of the unique cities of Tuscany and we arrange a transfer into the centre by a 'land train'. From here we visit a Tuscan Winery to try delicious regional wines served with canapes.
MONDAY
Breakfast and then we depart to Lake Maggiore calling in at the historic walled city of Lucca - well known for its beautiful churches. We then continue through scenic countryside to the impressive Grand Hotel Dino at Baveno, where we stay for 2 nights to include Italian Dinner and Buffet Breakfasts.
TUESDAY
A relaxing day or join our wonderful boat optional excursion to take in the magnificent Islands of Madre, Pescatori and Bella - including a guided tour of the historic Villa on Madre.
WEDNESDAY
Enjoy the fantastic scenery today travelling through Switzerland to our overnight stop in Reims - Dinner Included.
THURSDAY
Sadly, our last day - Breakfast then we return to join our crossing back to the UK.
GRAND HOTEL TETTUCCIO
The Grand Hotel Tettuccio is perfectly positioned in the Viale Giuseppe Verdi, opposite the beautiful park and spa. The hotel has over 70 bedrooms all with private facilities, air conditioning, TV, mini bar and telephone.
GRAND HOTEL DINO
The beautiful and elegant Grand Hotel Dino is certainly one of the most impressive hotels we use in Europe. Overlooking the lake, all 370 bedrooms have full private facilities, TV and telephone and several passenger lifts serve all floors. There are restaurants, bars, outside terrace, sun bathing area, swimming pools and leisure facilities.
(The Zacchera Group includes the 4 Star Hotel Splendid, Hotel Simplon in Baveno and the Grand Hotel Bristol in Stresa. Occasionally one of these Hotels may be used instead of The Hotel Dino)
