ITINERARY
MONDAY
Morning departure travelling north, making a stop at the famous border village of Gretna Green before we continue to the port of Cairnryan.
From here, we board the Stena Line ferry for our sailing across the Irish Sea. On arrival, we continue to the Everglades Hotel for four nights on the outskirts of Derry. Dinner and Breakfast are included throughout your stay.
TUESDAY
A full buffet Breakfast before we transfer to Derry centre - one of Ireland's most historic and characterful cities, where we are joined by a local guide. During our tour, we discover more about the city's rich heritage, famous walls and vibrant atmosphere as our guide brings its past and present to life.
Later, we enjoy a hearty serving of traditional Irish stew in a local pub, giving you the chance to sample a classic dish in cosy surroundings. We return to our Everglades hotel late afternoon.
WEDNESDAY
Today we are accompanied by our local guide, before we set out on a scenic coastal tour along one of Northern Ireland's most dramatic shorelines.
We continue to the world-famous Giant's Causeway, renowned for its extraordinary hexagonal basalt columns and striking coastal setting. This is one of Ireland's most iconic natural landmarks and a highlight of any visit to the region (we include admission). Later we visit the attractive seaside resort of Portrush.
THURSDAY
Following breakfast, we travel to Wild Ireland with admission included. Set in beautiful surroundings, this unique wildlife sanctuary offers the chance to see animals native to Ireland, such as brown bears, wolves, lynx and wild boar and learn more about the country's natural heritage.
Later, we travel to the Muff Liquor Company, where we enjoy a guided visit, tasting and a welcoming Irish Coffee. This is a wonderful opportunity to discover the story behind this award-winning distillery and sample its distinctive spirits. Celebrity investors and supporters of this brand include: Russell Crowe, Ed Sheeran and Ronan Keeting. We return to our hotel for our final night and Dinner.
FRIDAY
After Breakfast, we make our way back to the ferry port for our late morning sailing to Cairnryan. Once back in Scotland, we continue our journey home, arriving late this afternoon after a wonderful break.
