ITINERARY
FRIDAY
Morning departure and we travel north to the beautiful cathedral city of Durham.
Dominated by the magnificent Durham Cathedral and castle, this charming riverside city boasts cobbled streets, independent shops and scenic river walks.
Later we make our way to Newcastle and the Holiday Inn Newcastle Jesmond for our two-night stay. Time to relax and enjoy Dinner in the restaurant.
SATURDAY
After breakfast, we depart to the centre of Newcastle for free time at leisure.
Perhaps browse the shops of Northumberland Street, explore the historic Grainger Town, stroll along the lively Quayside, or admire the iconic Tyne Bridge spanning the River Tyne.
Then take your seat for the 2:30pm showing of Dirty Dancing, the sensational stage adaptation of the classic film at Theatre Royal Newcastle.
Featuring unforgettable hits including Hungry Eyes, Hey Baby and the iconic (I've Had) The Time of My Life, this dazzling production brings the romance and excitement of the original story to life.
Following the show, we return to our hotel for Dinner once again.
SUNDAY
After breakfast, we bid farewell to Newcastle and travel south to the historic city of York.
Enjoy a brief visit to this enchanting city. You may wish to visit the awe-inspiring York Minster, wander along the medieval Shambles, or stop by one of York's many traditional tearooms.
Early afternoon, we begin our return journey to the West Midlands, arriving home with wonderful memories of a fantastic musical and city break.
