ITINERARY
FRIDAY
Late morning we depart for Yorkshire and arrive at the Thorpe Park Hotel for our 2 night stay.
We include an early Dinner before we travel into York for the 7pm performance of 'Fisherman's Friends' at the Barbican Theatre.
Based on the true story of the singing fishermen from Port Isaac, Fisherman's Friends is a feel good musical packed with heart, humour and irresistible sea shanty harmonies - a perfect evening in the historic city of York. Following the show, we return to the hotel to relax and enjoy a cocktail.
SATURDAY
After breakfast, we return to the magnificent city of York for a full day at leisure.
York is a place where history wraps around every corner - from the towering York Minster to the medieval City Walls and the atmospheric lanes of The Shambles.
You can explore world class museums such as the National Railway Museum, enjoy riverside walks, browse independent boutiques, or relax in one of the city's many charming cafés and tea-rooms.
We return to the hotel where Dinner is again included.
SUNDAY
After breakfast, we begin our journey home with two lovely stops.
First we visit Bakewell - famous for its charming riverside setting, historic stone buildings and, of course, the iconic Bakewell Pudding.
We then continue to Matlock, nestled in the Derwent Valley - Matlock offers a mix of independent shops, cafés and scenic views.
After free time here, we continue our journey back to the West Midlands.
