ITINERARY
FRIDAY
Early departure crossing to France and onwards to the Lahn Valley in Germany. Overnight in Limburg - Vienna House Hotel. Dine at one of the many nearby restaurants.
SATURDAY
A fresh Buffet Breakfast then depart to former East Germany to the largest city in the state of Saxony - Leipzig. This historic city has undergone massive changes in recent years and we overnight at the Vienna House Hotel - Dinner included.
SUNDAY
After our Buffet Breakfast we travel into Poland to the ancient and beautiful royal city of Krakow. Here we stay at the Novotel Krakow Centre for 5 nights. Dinner is included each evening and Buffet Breakfast each morning.
MONDAY
Krakow is Poland's second largest city, with medieval history, grand squares, a royal castle, cosy bars and a variety of shops and restaurants. Today we include a walking tour with a local guide to see the historic attractions of this popular destination.
TUESDAY
A Buffet Breakfast and then our included excursion to the World Heritage Site of Auschwitz Concentration Camp. We will visit the original camp with a local guide, see what is now a museum, and Birkenau the largest of the Nazi death camps. Over a million prisoners were murdered here. It is a visit never to forget. We return to Krakow and our hotel for our evening meal.
WEDNESDAY
Breakfast and then our departure to Wieliczka Salt Mines. Here we find a mysterious underground city that has been in operation for over 700 years. Our tour will see amazing sights, figures and even a chapel and chandeliers all made from Salt. Entrance is included and warm clothing required. (There are steps involved on this visit). Dinner included again tonight.
THURSDAY
Buffet Breakfast and then a day free to explore the beautiful centre of Krakow. Dinner is included this evening.
FRIDAY
Breakfast and then our departure via the outskirts of Wroclaw to Dresden. Here we overnight at the Occidental Hotel centrally situated in the heart of the town - Dinner is included.
SATURDAY
A generous Buffet Breakfast before we make our way to for our overnight stay once again in Limburg (Bed & breakfast basis).
SUNDAY
A lavish Buffet Breakfast and then we depart making our way to France to join our crossing back to the UK and the West Midlands.
NOVOTEL KRAKOW CENTRE
Ideally situated about 15 minutes’ walk to the main square, across the road from the river and Walwel castle. The hotel has 200 modern bedrooms all with private facilities. There is a restaurant, lounge bar, passenger lifts, leisure centre, 24-hour reception, air conditioning and free WiFi.
