ITINERARY

SUNDAY
Morning departure, calling at the lovely city of Chester. Stroll through the half-timbered galleries or along the City Walls and take time to enjoy a snack or lunch at one of the many cafes and restaurants.

We then continue to Southport and the exceptional Waterfront Southport Hotel situated on the Marina promenade. Here we can settle in on our 4-night stay with Dinner and full English Breakfast included each day.

MONDAY
After a hearty breakfast, we board the coach for a journey to one of Lancashire's most charming historic treasures - Rufford Old Hall. Set within beautiful grounds and steeped in over 500 years of history, this magnificent Tudor Manor offers a fascinating glimpse into the past.

You can explore the striking Great Hall and enjoy the surrounding gardens and woodlands. There's time to discover the house at your own pace before we regroup for our return journey back to the hotel, where a delicious Dinner awaits and the evening is yours to unwind.

TUESDAY
After a relaxed Breakfast, it will be time to explore the hotel facilities and the wonderful resort of Southport.

Well-known for its fabulous beaches, Southport offers delightful walks with its elegant Boulevards, Victorian Gardens, its historic Pier, museums, Model Railway Village and a host of Bistros, Tea Rooms and an incredible choice of shops.

WEDNESDAY
Breakfast before we depart for a delightful visit to the magnificent Speke Hall, Garden and Estate, one of the North West's most atmospheric Tudor properties.

Surrounded by tranquil gardens and set against sweeping views of the Mersey estuary, Speke Hall offers a captivating blend of history, architecture and gardens. Explore the richly furnished rooms, admire the striking timber framed exterior, and enjoy strolls through the formal gardens.

Later in the afternoon, we return to the hotel for our final evening together, where a last night Dinner brings the day - and the holiday - to a warm and memorable close.

THURSDAY
Enjoy your Buffet Breakfast before our return journey to the West Midlands.

The Waterfront Southport Hotel has an excellent location overlooking the Marina and on the main promenade – it is just minutes from the beach and all of Southport’s many attractions. 131 bedrooms are spacious with air-conditioning with full private facilities.
