ITINERARY
FRIDAY
Afternoon departure travelling into Yorkshire and to our Holiday Inn Hotel. Time to unpack and refresh before Dinner is served in the restaurant.
SATURDAY
A Yorkshire cooked Breakfast and then we depart to Holmfirth - The Village where Last of the Summer Wine was filmed. There are still many familiar sights from this very popular TV series.
From here we travel to Halifax to visit Piece Hall - an 18th century cloth hall now full of shops, exhibits, bars and restaurants.
We then transfer to the restaurant that was the original 'Harry Ramsdens'. Here we include a tasty 2 course Fish & Chip Lunch.
Finally, we visit the Bradford Industrial Museum where you can see a fascinating collection of textile machinery, steam power, printing equipment, motor vehicles and even mill workers accommodation.
We return to our hotel where Dinner is again included tonight.
SUNDAY
After Breakfast, we make our way over the Moors to the world famous village of Haworth.
This is the home of the Brontë family, whose novels included Wuthering Heights and Jane Eyre.
You can visit the Brontë Parsonage, or take an early lunch at one of the public houses before we join the Keighley and Worth Valley Steam Railway for a journey to Keighley.
This Railway was featured in the films 'The Railway Children', 'Peaky Blinders' and of course 'Last of the Summer Wine'.
From Keighley, our Coach returns to the West Midlands.
