ITINERARY
TUESDAY
Your holiday begins with a Channel crossing before continuing to our overnight hotel. Settle in and enjoy a relaxing Dinner, ready for the adventure ahead.
WEDNESDAY
We travel onwards to Basel - a city at the crossroads of Switzerland, France and Germany, where your elegant cruise ship, The Nobleman, awaits. Embarkation begins from 15:00, giving you time to settle into your cabin, explore the ship, and enjoy your first evening on board.
THURSDAY
Today brings a memorable Swiss train excursion, showcasing some of the region's most beautiful alpine landscapes as the train glides into the heart of the Swiss Alps. We return to the ship in time for the early evening as The Nobleman departs Basel at 18:00, cruising more gently along the Rhine. Enjoy a welcome Drink, complemented by regional Swiss Snacks and Wine.
FRIDAY
We Arrive in Breisach this morning. Today we include a wonderful Black Forest coach tour, exploring one of Europe's most enchanting regions with a guide. Enjoy a scenic mountain drive through pine-covered valleys, past waterfalls and in hillside villages the 17th century art of Cuckoo clockmaking still thrives and also home to the region's sweetest legend - the Black Forest Cake. We return to the ship before a 16:00 departure.
SATURDAY
Today we arrive in Mannheim. Enjoy a guided city tour, discovering the highlights of this historic and cultural centre. The birthplace of the bicycle, the automobile and the tractor, this city has shaped modern mobility. Its distinctive grid-style layout earning it the nickname 'City of Squares'. We set sail again at 18:00, cruising towards Mainz where the ship moors overnight.
SUNDAY - MAINZ
We spend the morning among the vines with a delightful vineyard tour, learning about local wine traditions and enjoying the scenery. Mainz is the 'Great Wine Capital' of Germany, sitting at the centre of the Rheinhessen - the country's largest wine growing region. We depart Mainz at 14:00, continuing our journey along the River Rhine.
MONDAY
Monday arrival in Speyer. This morning, enjoy a guided Old Town walking tour, taking in the charm and history of this beautiful riverside city. Speyer is one of Germany's oldest towns and crowned by its majestic cathedral. The Nobleman departs at 17:00, cruising towards Strasbourg.
TUESDAY
Enjoy free time in Strasbourg, set on the border of France and Germany. This stunning city is a maze of half-timbered houses and flower lined canals winding through La Petite France, visit the cathedral, or relax in a café. The ship departs at 13:00, sailing back towards Basel.
WEDNESDAY
07:00 Arrival in Basel. After breakfast, we disembark and travel to your overnight hotel. Enjoy a final evening dinner, reflecting on the highlights of your cruise.
THURSDAY
We begin our return journey with our crossing back to England and onwards to the West Midlands with wonderful memories of your Rhine adventure.
